Hemisperical styli
Hemispherical styli are suitable for measuring elements that require a large stylus ball diameter with low weight or reduced height, as opposed to disc styli which only allow radial probing. Hemispherical styli can also be used to measure the stem direction. The advantage is that the entire surface of the hollow hemisphere can be used for the measurement.
